French Shutters

It’s #micasamonday It all came together when I picked these old French shutters, 8 total, and knew they would look amazing on the big blank wall in the dining room. We power washed them, did a quick paint wash and had them hung. Like that, the room was ready for the Birthday breakfast tables to be set for years to come. Old houses are filled with quirky, thoughtful additions that made life a little the button on the floor, right under the table where the head chair is poised, waiting to be pressed and ring the kitchen when the next course is to be served. We kept the button when we added the wood floors but not the butler.
